Indonesian Journal Volunteers (RJI) attended the initiative of one of the journal managers in Yogyakarta and other journal managers in other regions such as Bandung, Makassar, South Sumatra, and East Java and other regions. RJI is a voluntary movement that voluntarily contributes thoughts and personnel related to the management of electronic journals to other journal managers in universities, research bodies and others throughout Indonesia without discrimination and without compartmentalization.RJI's idea was born in early June 2016, after which a small team was formed to formulate, strengthen and unify ideas. Starting from making the tagline "share the publications, logos and foundation of the organization namely the Statutes and Bylaws. RJI Approval was held in Yogyakarta, through the 1st National Conference on November 6-7, 2016. April 3, 2017 The Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of the Republic of Indonesia issued a decree on the Ratification of the Establishment of the Legal Entity of the Indonesian Journal of Volunteers Association AHU number -005712.AH.01.07.YE 2017. Through this decision, the Indonesian Journal of Volunteers Association is a legal entity that is subject to the laws and regulations in force in Indonesia. There are at least two reasons why we formed RJI. First, helping journal management in Indonesia. Second, it becomes a place to ask questions for journal managers in Indonesia. In general, the objectives of RJI are:"Non-profit organizations that contribute thoughts and energy for the development of scientific publications in Indonesia in particular and in the world in general"
