Rowe House first started in 2006 with partners Mike and Ingrid. A single accident set off a series of events which led to the start of the small business. Ingrid dropped a shampoo bottle and broke a shower faucet knob in her grandparent's 1950s bathroom. Her husband Mike and her father Pat awkwardly tackled the repair job (Mike did not know at the time that Pat was not handy... at all). Ingrid uncovered Mike's hidden building and mechanical skills. Consequently, Mike and Ingrid started adding renovation projects to the rest of the home. The couple moved to Columbus in 2009 and began renovating historic homes in the historic Short North area in central Columbus. Today, Rowe House is a knitty-gritty business that focuses on home repairs, renovating homes, building new construction homes and garages. The team also operates short term vacation rentals in central Columbus under its sister business, Rowe Rentals.
