Researcher at Intelligent Information Processing Lab, NCAI - Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
The Intelligent Information Processing Lab aims to provide cutting-edge research, development, and training framework for both young and experienced researchers by applying signal processing, machine learning, and pattern recognition theory and methods to real-world multidisciplinary problems faced by Pakistan within the areas of mineral resource estimation and healthcare. The lab's focus will mainly be on the following two main domain areas:1) AI in Mineral Resource Estimation and Mine Planning2) AI in Healthcareintelligent information processing lab UET Peshawar is the only member of the Copernicus Academy Network in South Asia. The main focus of IIPL is to provide state-of-the-art geological maps and 3D models incorporating satellite remote sensing data, geophysical data, and geochemical data using state-of-the-art machine and deep learning algorithms. IIPL strives to close the skill gap, by organizing conferences showcasing the different uses of Copernicus data, organizing training opportunities to educate young scientists on how to use these data in their research, and by fostering cross-disciplinary research collaborations.
