HTD Limited from 1stJanuary 1994 bought theassets and interests of what was Halls Truck Divisions (founded in 1990) which was adivision of Halls Holdings Limited which in turn was entirely owned by Lonrho (mw)Limited.At the time of take over HTD Limited acquired the agencies for Bedford, Samag and Hino.In 1996 HTD Limited acquired the franchise for IVECO and in 1997 KIA. With theacquisition of these franchises it ceased to market the other brands. In 2012, we acquiredthe sole franchise for Shineray Motorcycles in Malawi and in 2013 we have acquired thesale franchise for Land Rover in Malawi.Currently the company holds approximately 7% overall market share in Malawi in terms ofMotor vehicle sales in 2012.We have 2 fully fledged branches in Blantyre and Lilongwe.
