Visiting The Flower Kennel and Homestead makes you step into the real authentic off-grid Alaskan lifestyle. Our tours are a snapshot of our year round life with the Flower Sled dogs and we are grateful to share this with our guests.The Flower Kennel and Homestead is a 40 acre musher's homestead tucked away in the Talkeetna Boreal forest, just south of Talkeetna. We live a sustainable life as much as possible and enjoy every day of hard work. The sled dogs are part of the family, and a major component in the tasks of gathering firewood, hauling water and hunting caribou in spring.We are a small locally owned operation and our tours are casual and personal.
