OUR VISION:IDO envisions a global community with little signs of deprivation; a society with its basic needs met, and where the vulnerable and innocent are empowered and offered the opportunity to grow, lead and achieve.OUR MISSION:IDO aims to achieve its vision by delivering basic life and education facilities, implementing training programs and creating the right atmosphere for empowerment and long term sustainability for orphans and children, and for deprived and devastated communities.The Company was established to:1. provide long term and sustainable solutions to people suffering social, economic and environmental deprivation both in Australia and internationally; 2. provide emergency disaster relief to identified communities;3. raise awareness in Australia and globally of the plight of persons and communities in desperate need of assistance and support; and4. mobilise persons interested in providing solutions to people in need.Our works are divided into broad categories:1. Emergency Relief, and2. Sustainable DevelopmentThe Company has projects in Somalia, Ghana, Kenya and Syria/Turkey. We have also worked in Lebanon, Bangladesh and Fiji. Locally, I-DO Community Services runs programs like the I-DO Homeless Run, I-DO Sisters in Need, I-DO Training & Mentoring, I-DO Spirit in the Park as well as a number of other initiatives.The Orphan Leadership Program is our signature sustainable development program. The OLP focuses on mentoring and developing orphans by providing them with a long-term sustainable pathway throughout their life: from when they begin school right through to post tertiary education. The program helps children, families and communities break the cycle of poverty while providing them with essential life skills and training.
