AIRS is formed by Knowledge Professionals as a representative of Internet Based Research Professionals to promote, educate and give voice to the profession of Internet Research Specialists. We are a single most effective unified association of Internet Researchers that strengthens and promotes value, integrity, education, science and art of internet search. The objective of this group will be to promote internet search profession. We believe that doing online search requires specialized skill set. The group will invite all those that do professional research work to learn educate and exchange knowledge on internet search techniques, learn more about the search engines and technologies behind them. At AIRS we understand the dire need to establish a unified platform that is focused to promote, educate and regulate internet based search and research industry in an "information overload" era. An Internet Research Specialist is defined by AIRS as "A practitioner of using Internet accessed information, free or paid, subscribed or not, that is available through browsing of the World Wide Web and the ability of using the information in a timely and meaningful way to reach research objectives." A qualified Internet Research Professional is expected to make reasonable assumptions, tabulate data, identify qualitative and quantitative aspects of it; also to make meaningful presentations and derive inferences thereof as a result of his research on Internet.
