Jennifer Fink maintains an active private music studio in Olathe, Kansas. She holds a B.A. in Music, summa cum laude, with Piano Performance and Applied Pedagogy emphases from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Upon graduation, Jennifer was honored with the MTNA STaR Award, given to young teachers who show aptitude and excellence in the studio setting. In 2011, she was named the Kansas Music Teachers Association Outstanding Teacher of the Year. Jennifer is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music. She is an active member of the Kansas City Music Teachers Association, the Kansas City Federated Music Teachers and the Olathe Music Teachers Association. She currently is serving on the KCMTA Executive Board as VP for Multi-Piano Concerts and Development Chairperson, and is a Co-Chairperson of the OMTA Solo Festival.Jennifer believes in a comprehensive and multi-sensory approach to music education. She has pursued specialized training in the methods of Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Brain Gym Educational Kinesiology. Jennifer enjoys developing materials and curriculum that allow her students to experience music through movement and hands-on activities.Jennifer also enjoys leading workshops and sharing ideas on how to incorporate movement, games and hands-on activities into private and group lessons.
