He has featured on 60 minutes twice, survived a Tsunami in Java, worked on Russian Icebreakers in the Southern Ocean, raised over $3 million for Doctor Global an Internet company he started in the 90s, been the doctor for the Fijian Rugby team and toured doing stand-up comedy with Mike King. He has been awarded the New Zealand Defence Forces medal for his services helping in the Boxing Day Tsunami, has snowboarded off Russian volcanoes and worked in orphanages in Indonesia.
