Founded in 2021 under the Vehicle Design Society, we are Imperial College London's designated student tunnelling team, competing in the annual Not-a-Boring Competition by Elon Musk's The Boring Company.The Boring Company's goal is to build the tunnel infrastructure necessary to enable fast, safe, and comfortable transportation, including Loop and Hyperloop. To feasibly build a large network of tunnels, one must first rapidly innovate to increase tunnelling speed and reduce tunnelling costs - we aim to facilitate the process.Building upon Imperial's reputation as one of the best engineering schools in the world, we want to take an interdisciplinary approach to drive innovation in tunnelling.
