Verdel Instruments, a spin out company from the University of Warwick, has developed an innovative technique called two dimensional mass spectrometry (2DMS). This allows fragmentation of a wide range of molecules while simultaneously maintaining correlation between each fragment and its precursor to significantly improve structural elucidation.
