Honest Soul Yoga seeks to provide its members with opportunities to meet others, and themselves through genuine connection, and a loving, accountable community. The company was founded by Air Force Veteran, Suzie Mills in 2013. Honest Soul Yoga's flagship location expanded from a single-room studio to three rooms in 2014. In 2018 the company's Co-Owner and Chief Strategy Officer, Julia Lopez, came on board to further HSY's expansion from one to three locations in Northern Virginia, and also new markets in the near future.
