The Company commenced its business on March 8, 2005.The principal activities of the Company are to provide all maintenance and operation services and consultancy guidance for customers, especially in the field of power and water generation' industry.The Company had entered into an Operation and Maintenance agreement with AI Ezzel Power Company B.S.C (c) on March 28, 2005, to provide operation and maintenance services for Al Ezzel Power Plant for a period of 20 years from the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date being May 1, 2007. The 950 MW, Al Ezzel Power Plant is the first independent generation station in Bahrain, and it is located in the Hidd industrial area, just south of Bahrain International Airport. The plant burns natural gas supplied by Bahrain Petroleum Co. under long-term contract.On June 15, 2009 the Company entered into an Operation and Maintenance agreement with Al Dur Power and Water Company B.S.C. (c), to provide operation and maintenance services for the contract period of 25 years from the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date. Al Dur Power and Water Plant is located in Al Dur area and has a power capacity of of 1,234 MW and water capacity of 218,200 m3/day. Al Dur Plant as well burns natural gas supplied by Bahrain Petroleum Co. under long-term contract.Al Ezzel Operation and Maintenance is fully owned by ENGIE (formerly GDF SUEZ).
