JAND YOGA was founded in 2012 by Jacquelyn Hieber. Jacquelyn is a Yoga Alliance (www.yogaalliance.org) Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) having completed 200 hours of teacher training in compliance with Yoga Alliance standards. She will attend RYT-500 hour intensive Life of a Yogi training with Sri Dharma Mittra, Fall/Winter 2013. Her love of yoga began 10 years ago and continued to grow as her practice helped her recover from a back injury. Her quest to harmonize body, mind and spirit led her to teaching. "I was talking with Sarah (CEO of Living Wellness Associates) about how I wanted to teach yoga after retiring from my work as a Global Sourcing Director. Sarah looked at me and said, ‘Why wait?'" Those two words were the beginning of living Yoga both on and off my mat.; and most importantly, sharing this practice, passed on through the centuries, with others." Jacquelyn has studied with Sri Dharma Mittra, 8-Limbed Path; Peter Sterios, Gravity and Grace; Keri Bergeron, Strengthen Your Body, Stretch Your Mind; Charry Morris, Chakra Tuning; and Yiannis Andritsos & Andrei Ram Om, Yoga Sutras & Dharma Mittra Sequencing, and Kriyas Yoga Philosophy. She is also a Certified Reiki Practitioner. JAND YOGA is opening a new studio, located in Hudson, Ohio in June 2013.
