The Institute of Canadian Archives (ICA) is a social capital building initiative focused on increasing social cohesion through the art of storytelling.ICA is a volunteer-run registered non-profit committed to enabling Canadians in creating, curating and celebrating digital stories around diversity, intercultural harmony, and pluralism. These stories take the form of reportages, articles, videos as well as personal digital stories. ICA engages diverse young, adult and senior Canadians interested in storytelling by helping them bring their unique perspective to stories. ICA mentors these potential story makers and provides the necessary resources to help them navigate towards their finished stories. These mentorship sessions are conducted through online training sessions and in-person workshop series.
