KOGAS an abbreviation for Korea Gas Corporation, was incorporated by the Korean government in 1983. Since its founding, it has grown to become the world's largest LNG importer and it currently employs around 4000 employees world wide. As the nation's sole LNG provider, the Corporation is fully committed to providing clean, safe and convenient energy to the people of Korea. The Prelude FLNG facility is an offshore development that produces natural gas from a remote field approximately 475km north-north east of Broome in Western Australia. It prepares natural gas for export by turning it into liquid, which makes it easier to transport to customers overseas.
