The power of speech is something we all take for granted. After a stroke, or brain injury, the ability to speak can be lost (aphasia), which can leave sufferers feeling frustrated, isolated, and as if they're living on a separate planet to the rest of us.At Speak With I.T. we help people with Aphasia regain their speech, their confidence, and their self-esteem. Using the latest technology, and with the help of our wonderful volunteers, we can make a huge difference to client's lives; we offer one-to-one support in clients' own homes, and we help for as long as we're needed. NHS therapy can prove a finite, limited solution - we're always building relationships with medical professionals who are pleased to refer their patients for longer, more in-depth support than they're able to offer.At Speak With I.T., we're always looking for volunteers, across the whole Yorkshire area. We're also keen to build a network of businesses and corporations who can help us achieve our aims, whether that's through the donations of computers, funding support, or establishing an internal volunteer programme within their organisation.
