Established in 2003, CODA Partners, Inc. is a professional services firm specializing in leadership, connected communications, team, and organizational development initiatives. Principal partners Dr. James "Jim" Sartain and Kathryn "Kathy" Davanzo, who began training together in 1989 when they were both senior executives of a national nonprofit, founded CODA Partners. Jim and Kathy have designed and facilitated hundreds of programs and long-term development initiatives to enhance the capacity of leaders, teams and organizations. After discovering the benefits of reflective practices and the role leader self-identity could play in leadership development, Jim began researching the differences in leadership behavior relative to these elements. His research on leader self-identity, reflective practices, and cognitive leadership approaches, along with CODA's shared application of that ongoing research, has led to the development of CODA's proprietary capstone experience for leadership development, Leader P.O.V.®. and to the Connected Leadership Framework and Curriculum that has been adopted by numerous organizations as part of the leadership development activities. Today CODA Partners, Inc. is moving beyond its roots in customized leadership development programs to share their learning materials with others and to engage others in conversations and research that will further advance the field of cognitive leadership. Their evidence-based programs and materials are used as guiding resources for developing leaders and to assist those charged with developing leaders. In 2013, Jim and Kathy published the Connected Leadership Journal: A Yearlong Exploration of Your Leader P.O.V.®, which is widely used as a developmental tool for university, community, and corporate leadership development programs.Connect with them and learn more about: Connected Leadership, Connected Communications, CODA Products and CODA Research.
