In 2017, MAP Architecture was officially launched. The ethos of the company is simple - to create beautiful and functional buildings that have a positive social and environmental impact. Rob Mawson and Matthew Parker met in 2010 during their Masters in Architecture at the University of Sheffield. It was their strong sense of motivation and passion for making that led them to Nicaragua to build their first project, the Balgue Community Centre. Since then, they have continued to collaborate on a number of voluntary projects and private commissions, while independently gaining experience working for highly regarded architectural practices in London. What MAP offers:We provide an open-mind, enthusiasm and a hands-on approach to all our work. We are passionate about the craft of building and believe that every project should intrinsically respond to its physical and social context.By working closely with, and listening attentively to, our clients we fully identify their requirements before presenting creative and innovative design solutions. The same attention and dedication is given to every project from beginning to end with the aim to create architecture of the highest quality at the lowest possible economic and environmental cost.
