It is my objective to assist and guide you in meeting your goals and overcoming life's challenges. Over fifteen years in the field of education has afforded me the opportunity to work with children, young adults and their parents. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.My specialties include working with individuals affected by anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. Counseling young adults that are transitioning to independent living such as attending college is an area of interest. I have assisted these individuals on such issues as self-confidence, relationships, and problem-solving. I am a licensed Master's Social Worker, graduating from Wayne State and possess advanced certification in the treatment of substance use disorders. It is my belief that a strong rapport between client and therapist is the primary factor in determining the success of therapy. My therapy style is collaborative, empathetic, and genuine. My goal is that our work together will provide you with the hope and confidence to embrace positive change in your life.
