You Matter is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting women and families experiencing family violence through creating homes with hope for a brighter future. You Matter is unique within Victoria in providing the contents to ensure a fully fitted and functioning home when women and their children are relocating to new premises to begin their lives free from family violence. You Matter are not involved in sourcing a suitable property to reside in, but rather we fill the property with contents once suitable accommodation has been secured.You Matter's Co-founders, Rochelle Anderson and Maxine Gross, commenced operations in early 2019 in recognition of the contribution that could be made to women and their families experiencing family violence. From the modest beginnings supporting one woman's relocation, through call outs to family and friends, You Matter has grown to provide support around Melbourne to several families per month. You Matter creates a home filled by the love and support of their community. A fully functional home is critical for the experiencer to remain in their home. You Matter does not deal directly with the families in need but rather works with family violence support agencies and social workers to provide for them.
