The Flinders Foundation is the official fundraising arm for the Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) and is dedicated to raising money to fund vital medical research, new hospital equipment and upgrade medical facilities. FMC is the busiest emergency hospital in South Australia and the third busiest hospital in Australia. As a major teaching and research hospital it has a formidable reputation for ground breaking research in areas such as cancer, heart disease, neuroscience, neonatal care and child nutrition to name but a few. The Flinders Foundation is also the official charitable organisation for the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer, driving the fundraising campaign that built the $30 million facility that houses compassionate cancer care alongside leading cancer research and survivorship services.
