Our Cognitive Behavioural Therapists provide individual counselling, therapeutic group programs and educational services for adults with a wide range of physical and/or mental health difficulties. We have a proven record of getting excellent outcomes for our clients and for providing exceptional customer service.Counselling Services is an intervention that is behaviourally, not medically, based and targets improved function by utilizing strategies that encourage "self management" of chronic or recurrent disorders and encourage active coping. If the individual is employed, but off work, efforts are focused on a safe, timely and sustainable return to work. This service is brief and very structured and can be provided in person, by phone or by Skype video. Referrals can be made by an employer, an insurer, a physician or an individual can self-refer.Odyssey Educational Services are customized to a particular target population and can be accessed by individuals, employers and physicians. For employers, we design and implement programs with the objective of taking a proactive approach to reducing absenteeism, short and long term disability, and unnecessary or protracted requests for work accommodation and modification. For individuals, our group program, Balancing ACT, is based on an approach to psychology called ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). ACT is a type of mindfulness-based behaviour therapy that helps a person to become willing and able to let thoughts and feelings come and go while pursuing what matters to them most. This can open up a rich, full and meaningful life; a life of feeling well because of living well.
