St. Mark's United Methodist began in 1957 when the Rev. Paul G. Cochran was appointed to the Indialantic area to organize a new Methodist congregation and to build a church. The first worship service took place in a house on Fourth Avenue on December 30, 1957 with 22 in attendance. Today our congregation consists of over 350 people and the church continues to grow and change as we reach out in new ways. Our members are from all different stages of life, from families who reside in the area to retirees who visit seasonally. All make the St. Mark's community a warm, personable fellowship and a place where people can grow in their faith and discover new friendships. St. Mark's is a part of the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. Please check out those respective websites for more information.
