Communication for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU) is a Ugandan-based Non Government Organization (NGO) that provides a range of specialized and professional communication services including: support, advice, direction, training, and management for the improvement of social services and conditions in Uganda and the East African region. CDFU provides fully fledged Strategic/Behavior Change Communication (BCC) for health and development issues. The organization has offices in Kampala and operates countrywide through existing structures. CDFU designs communication strategies, provides training, develops and disseminates educational materials. In addition, CDFU facilitates implementation of community based interventions. Areas of focus include: prevention of HIV and treatment of AIDS, control of Malaria, Reproductive health (including Family Planning), Child health and Financial Education. Based in Uganda, CDFU is uniquely positioned to offer services within the East African region and beyond. The staff has wide experience in design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of interventions aimed at individual and social behavior change. We also provide technical assistance to government departments and other organizations that provide BCC services.
