The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine is committed to the training, examination and representation of specialist emergency physicians in Australia and New Zealand.Founded in 1984 with a base of 73 Fellows, ACEM now represents over 1,800 Fellows and 2,300 trainees. Overseeing the training and written and clinical examinations of trainees is a major part of ACEM's mission, as is providing a program of continuing professional development for Fellows.
