Emmanuel Panagiotakis is a native of Chios, Greece, but he has called Pittsburgh home for almost thirty years. His award-winning photography takes him all over the world, yet it's the beauty of his adopted city that never ceases to inspire him.He purchased his first digital camera in 2004 and shot his way through the owner's manual in order to understand it's capabilities. And as he did, a surprising passion for photography emerged.Emmanuel studied with San Francisco landscape photographer, Jeff Chen Kuo Chin. The two met by chance, cameras in hand, on the Pittsburgh Incline. Years later, Emmanuel still attributes the vibrancy of his images to his mentor and friend.Aside from his creative work, Emmanuel takes on commission pieces for corporate and private clients.The devoted family man traded the Aegean Sea for three rivers to be with his love - his wife, Genie. The couple lives just outside of Pittsburgh with their two children. It's a busy and happy life.
