Formed in 2002 MPS New Zealand specialises in the provision of medication management solutions to pharmacy services to resdientail Aged care. In recent years, it has become a requirement for Residential Aged Care Facilities to be Accredited and to implement quality standards.Consequently Residential Aged Care Facilities were required to ensure "medication management" was systemized and controlled. A strong focus on "QUALITY USE OF MEDICINES" presented a need to develop a Medication Management System that was more predictable, dependable, and easier to use.Thus it was through extensive research, that the MPS Health Management System evolved. The MPS Health Management System allows doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality healthcare to Residential Aged Care Facilities. Now, MPS NZ operates a dose manufacturing facility in Penrose, Auckland. MPS NZ utilizes the same systems that are in use in Australia by MPS Australia. MPS Australia has three Dose Manufacturing Facilities in Australia and through a network of customer pharmacies, is the largest provider of pharmacy services to Residential Aged Care Facilities in Australia. Today, more than ONE MILLION tablets are packed and administered each month in conjunction with MPS Certified Pharmacies with the MPS Health Management System.
