PRAWARDA Is a non-government development organization established in 1994. It is an organization with a group of committed and dedicated professionals who strive for improving the livelihoods of the poor, marginalized sections of farmers, women, youth and children in the North Karnataka region. PRAWARDA believes in sustainability of development processes and therefore, follows a people centered approach in the implementation of all its interventions through formation of sustainable people's institutions.PRAWARDA undertakes participatory approach where all developmental interventions are planned and implemented by the target people themselves through their own Community Based Organizations (CBOs). PRAWARDA has promoted and built capacities of different types of community based organizations like SHGs, WMC/VWC, VDS, Village Okkuta, GMASS, TUGs, VFCs, Organic Farmers Group, education, Old age, Health, Horticulture, DCCD, etc.
