Picoyune is a new chemical sensing platform company, with our patented plasmonic film technology we can replace a lab bench worth of equipment with a portable monitor that anyone can use. Picoyune is based on 10+ years of research at the University of California, Berkeley and the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. We've done extensive customer research to determine our first target, mercury. Mercury is a potent neurotoxin that is increasingly the subject regulation for removal and remediation. Picoyune has received numerous awards at startup accelerators and business plan competitions based on our technology and market fit. We have engaged with potential customers since our founding to determine their needs, because we realize that not all problems are solvable in the lab.
