Volunteer Project Manager at Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN) - Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN) creates awareness for missing Australians and provides practical support to their loved ones left behind. One hundred Australians are reported missing every day, and while most are found quickly, many remain missing long term. Research shows that at least 12 people are directly impacted when someone goes missing – emotionally, psychologically, financially – almost half a million Australians every year.People go missing for a variety of reasons, and MPAN recognises that this issue is not just the responsibility of police – we encourage a collaborative effort between media, corporates, government, police and the public.
