Drink a beer. Have a laugh. Learn how to build a spaceship. Launched in 2014, and based in New York, Raising the Bar is a worldwide initiative aimed at making education a part of a city's popular culture by transforming bars into classrooms. We create one of a kind, knowledge-driven events to raise the bar on the content people consume in their everyday lives. Our first event in collaboration with Columbia University and NYU drew over 6,000 New Yorkers to attend 50 lectures in 50 bars simultaneously, and be inspired by the words of some of the world's greatest thinkers such as Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Joseph Stiglitz and ATLAS Scientist, Dr. Michael Tuts. In 2015, our model expanded domestically and globally in San Francisco, London, Hong Kong and Sydney.
