Established in Brazil in 1983, as a local eyewear retail chain from Japanese Mitani Corp, Mitani Óptica currently has nine own shops and 3 laboratories in Sao Paulo city with more than 80 employees, providing eyewear and optical products and services to consumers. In 2007 was acquired by Brazilian owners and since then it is committed with its personnel development and training. In 2Q 2009, opened the CTM – Mitani Training Center – unique in its kind in Brazil, developing technical and sales training for employees and partners. Besides that, Mitani is the only eyewear retailer in Brazil to have all contact lens professionals trained in international reference centers outside the Country. In 2010, was appointed by the 2nd time by Alshop – Brazilian Retailer Association – as one of the 3 best Eyewear Retailers in Brazil. Aware of social issues, Mitani Óptica has Executives dedicating volunteer work in several local NGOs. Recently, Mitani completed the 1st phase of a layout renewal process in its stores based on German company ‘Concept-S' product displays and latest technology optical equipments.
