The LFT, a unique school in Toronto, Founded in 1995, the Lycée Français is the only secular French school in Toronto approved by the French Ministry of National Education from kindergarten to Grade 12. As an active member of the network of the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) with more than 500 institutions around the world, being deeply rooted in Toronto life and Canadian culture, our school offers our students the best of both cultures: academic excellence in French and a strong focus on personal development and striving to reach one's full potential. Based on the French curriculum, our innovative pedagogical approach goes beyond the Ministry's recommendations and places special emphasis on languages, science and sport. With a complete mastery of three to four languages in Grade 12 and the recognition of the French Baccalaureate, our students integrate well into the leading North American and European universities such as Harvard, Columbia, McGill, Dauphine or Sciences Po. Steeped in Canadian culture where sports, volunteer work and extracurricular activities are vehicles for integration and well-being, our students develop their social and intellectual skills in a civic and multicultural environment.
