Equity Bank Rwanda commenced operations on 25th November 2011 and was launched officially on 17th February 2012. With its headquarters in Kigali, the Bank currently has nine Branches namely: Kigali, Nyarugenge Market, Nyabugongo, Remera, Muhanga, Musanze, Rubavu, Rwamagana and Rusizi and still growing. In an effort to take financial services closer to the people, the Bank has embarked on a roll out of agency banking services. So far, there are 700 licensed Equity Bank Agents countrywide.
