Alliant Quality helps improve the quality of healthcare provided to Medicare beneficiaries in North Carolina and Georgia as a Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) and Hospital Quality Improvement Contractors (HQIC) program for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The HQIC is the Hospital Quality Improvement Contract that defines and funds CMS' quality improvement partnership for acute care facilities. The QIO Program is the engine driving innovative state and local collaborations that result in high-quality, affordable and person-centered care for America's Medicare beneficiaries. Led by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program is one of the largest federal programs dedicated to improving health quality at the community level for people with Medicare. We support a person-oriented model of care and help reduce provider burden, so they can spend more time focusing on patients.We catalyze change through our data-driven and results-oriented focus, our broad perspective on the health care community, and our collaborative partnerships. We convene provides, partners, patients and families at the community level to build and share knowledge, spread best practices and integrate care. And, through the QIO Program, we work together with all community stakeholders to achieve rapid, wide-scale improvements in patient care, increases in population health and lower health care costs for all Americans.
