Long Island Community Foundation is the local office of The New York Community Trust – one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the country – consisting of more than 2500 individual charitable funds set up by individuals, families, and businesses that together value more than $3 billion in assets. Combined, the organization grants out more than $200 million annually. We do this based upon our donors' recommendations made through either their donor-advised funds or through permanent funds they establish to carry out their philanthropic intent that keeps their legacy alive long after they are gone.What is special about our services is that we work closely with our donors to customize a charitable giving strategy that best meets their philanthropic goals and tax needs.
