Albion is a women-owned, California Certified Micro/Small business dedicated to cultural and natural resource management. We specialize in mitigation planning, resource inventories and assessments, Native American consultation, impact analyses, compliance monitoring, and navigating the regulatory environment. Albion was founded in 1996 by two biologists and an anthropologist with the sole purpose of focusing on the identification and management of California's cultural and natural resources. Each of the founders, Jack Barclay, Jeff Diehl, and Clinton Blount had decades of experience managing projects in larger firms and saw the value of applying sound scientific methods and conservation practices in the environmental review process. Over the past 23 years, Albion's staff has been committed to working closely with our clients, efficiently planning and managing projects, and conducting reputable scientific studies. We have grown from a core group of three senior scientists to a firm of 30+ professionals and support staff. As small business, we know the local archaeology, agencies, tribes, laws and regulations, and can guide clients through the full environmental review process.
