Founded in 1972, Covington Aircraft is a world-leading aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul facility specializing in the PT6A turbine engine and R-985 and R-1340 radial engines. We are a Pratt & Whitney Canada certified Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF), and provide world-class corporate and agricultural aircraft service. We're centrally located in the U.S. near Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tulsa International Airport (TUL). We also have the advantage of utilizing Okmulgee Regional Airport (OKM), a smaller, more private runway. Covington performs all stages of engine repair and overhaul work in-house. We perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to verify the integrity of critical parts prior to use, and use computer-controlled machinery for necessary machining, grinding, and balancing prior to assembly. An on-site Quality Control inspector oversees every step of the overhaul process, and when a rebuild is complete, the engine testing and run-in is performed at our own engine testing facilities to verify the highest quality rebuild possible.
