Prasser-Kleczka has been a family owned and operated funeral home and crematory since 1868. What G.I. Prasser started as a furniture and undertaking company near South 9th Street and West National Avenue, has evolved into two funeral home locations in Milwaukee. The South Howell Ave was opened in 1954, while the South 27th Street funeral home opened in 1988. Jerry was the first Kleczka to join the Prasser business in 1965, and his family name was added in 1970. Today the Kleczka family continues to have a key role in the business.
