Our summer adventures in sustainability are designed for students age 15 to 18, and are typically between two and five weeks in duration. Each Sustainable Summer program tackles the broader question of sustainability by examining specific program themes, such as agriculture, water or energy. Our programs combine experiential environmental education — whether that be on an organic farm or in protected rainforest— with adventure travel and cultural immersion for an experience that is engaging, rewarding, and transformative. We do this by merging our expertise in teen travel programs and environmental education with the resources and expertise of like-minded organizations in developing communities that possess dynamic opportunities for the experiential teaching of sustainability.Sustainable Summer is the trade name of Sustainable Learning Inc., a non-profit incorporated in the state of New York for the purpose of facilitating experiential and theoretical learning on the subject of environmental sustainability.
