Domaine Roy is in the Dundee Hills, which is considered the epicenter of the Willamette Valley. It was formerly a hazelnut orchard. In 2013, we replanted the property with thirteen high-density acres of Pinot Noir and two acres of Chardonnay, which are grown organically. The vineyard faces south and runs north to south. It ranges in elevation from 300 to 500 feet and has Jory soil that is rich in iron. This volcanic soil also contains basalt boulders that were deposited by glacial flow from the Missoula Floods. Our estate produces timeless wine through meticulous and almost obsessive work in the vineyards. Stewardship of the land is at the heart of everything we do. We produce elegant wines grounded in the wisdom and traditions passed down between generations of winemakers.
