The Family Support Organization of Hudson County (FSOHC) was founded in 2003 by parents of children with emotional and or behavioral challenges. The FSOHC vision is to provide education, advocacy and support to all care givers and family members in Hudson County who have children with complex mental, behavioral and/or emotional needs. The FSOHC receives funding from the New Jersey Department of Children and Families and is a component of The Division of Children's Behavioral Health Services (DCBHS) formerly known as "The Partnership for Children". To provide support, advocacy, and education to families, caregivers, and providers of children with mental, emotional, and behavioral needs. To ensure that the highest quality child-centers & family friendly approaches to service delivery are created and maintained throughout Hudson County. To provide a forum in which families, caregivers, providers, and other concerned individuals work collaboratively to identify needs, service barriers, resources, and appropriate, effective, and timely ways to intervene and to provide the resources necessary to support strong community based support programs.
