TDO is an architecture and design studio founded by alumni of The Bartlett and Royal College of Art. Having schooled together and then separately run construction projects of varying scales and uses, they reformed with the unique benefits of shared training and wide experience in the construction industry, while remaining a young, enthusiastic, imaginative and forward thinking practice. Their designs share the common theme of a careful response to the brief in a manner centred on materiality, user and experience.Soon after forming in 2010, a TDO commission by Wallpaper* magazine was featured in the national and international design press and proved a launchpad for the practice establishing full time. TDO have since been designing ambitious and considered buildings at various scales from pavilions, to new build private houses, to multistorey mixed use schemes for private clients and developers, which are due for delivery from 2012 onwards.
