New Leaf Tree Syrups, produced by The Forest Farmers, is a premium line of certified-organic sweeteners made from a variety of tree species. In 2019, we will be launching our unique syrups crafted exclusively from the sap of maple, birch, beech and other species to provide the greatest diversity of plant-based syrups in the world. We are already a leading supplier of certified organic tree saps and syrups used by food technologists and manufacturers in beverages and packaged goods. We are developing the line of New Leaf Tree Syrups to showcase the vast diversity of culinary uses and flavors from the saps of alternative tree species. The Forest Farmers has deep roots in tree sap and syrup production and an unwavering commitment to forest stewardship. As the author of The Sugarmakers Companion, our co-founder and CEO Michael Farrell literally wrote the book on tree syrup production. Michael served as Director of Cornell University's Maple Research Center for 13 years before leaving in 2017 to start The Forest Farmers and bring tree saps and syrups to a new level. New Leaf Tree Syrups is the output of many years of innovative research and development to determine how to sustainably harness the wonderful and delicious diversity of our native woodlands. We believe that diverse forests are the healthiest forests-that is why we strive to fully utilize all tree species and the entire forest to its maximum potential. Our state-of-the-art facilities use modern, energy-efficient technologies to gather, protect, and preserve the flavors and integrity of our tree saps and syrups. We firmly believe in the potential of tree saps for the functional beverage market, and have developed the world's largest sap storage capacity to provide a consistent and reliable supply of high quality tree saps to our beverage customers.
