New Music School is the Premier school for music education in Chicago. NMS provides conservatory level training for students under the age of 18. Mentored and taught by Chicago Symphony Orchestra musicians, renowned collegiate professors, and other world-class faculty, our students are exposed to unconstrained musical development in a fun, yet high-expectation atmosphere. In year five, New Music School was named Best in Chicago by Chicago Magazine and awarded as a Founding School for the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program. NMS bolsters a student body of over 500 private students.Students have recently achieved great accolades from being accepted and attending the Juilliard School, winning International and National Competitions, being produced by Quincy Jones, performing on TV and Radio shows such as The Ellen Show, WGN News, Windy City Live, and WFMT's Impromptu, Rush Hour Concerts, and Introductions.
