CHC helps these patients effectively manage their chronic health conditions, thereby increasing their quality of life and reducing the burden of chronic disease on the community. Since 2004, CHC has provided healthcare to thousands of uninsured low-income working families in Collin County.CHC provides healthcare at no cost to their patients—care that also includes needed lab work, imaging services, and a prescription-assistance program. This benefits not just patients, but the greater Collin County community: a healthy community better prevents the spread of diseases and reduces the number of people untreated and uneducated about their health.CHC is primarily an all-volunteer clinic, including five volunteer physicians of varying specialties, fifteen volunteer nurse practitioners, and a volunteer physical therapist. All CHC nurses are volunteers, and when including front office and interpreters, CHC totals over sixty volunteers powering its mission to provide care to the medically underserved
