The die-casting research and development center’s expertise provides for die sampling, process development services and production die casting capabilities with fully robotic cells for replicating customer die casting parameters provide customers with production ready tooling. Current tooling programs include the Ford Duratec V-6 engine block that utilizes Delaware’s patented die locking system which is featured in the F-150, Mustang, Edge, Taurus, Fusion, and Explorer product lines. Delaware is also Chrysler’s supplier of choice for designing, building and testing the tooling for its new 9-speed front wheel drive transmission.
