Director of Infection Prevention and Control at Saint Luke's Place Long- Term Care - Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
Saint Luke's Place is a Charitable, Non Profit, Accredited Long Term Care Facility and Seniors' Community that became a reality as the result of a desire to serve seniors in the Cambridge community. A volunteer Board was established in 1972, the organization incorporated under the Charitable Institutions Act in 1974 and the first phase of the facility was constructed in 1976. This phase consisted of seventy four apartments and eighty long term care beds. Subsequently, in the early eighties, fifty eight more apartments were built, and finally thirty four more long term care beds and a retirement home were added in the late eighties. We gratefully acknowledge our roots as a visionary outreach project by our community for our community. Saint Luke's Place is governed by an independent Board of Directors comprised of skilled and dedicated community volunteers. As a charitable, non-profit, non-denominational organization, we celebrate diversity and we welcome everyone.Over the years, Saint Luke's Place has broadened the services offered to include a Seniors Active Living Centre (formerly Elderly Persons' Centre) complete with a coffee shop, tuck shop, therapeutic swimming pool, and a billiards room. Saint Luke's Place is situated on almost seven acres with a beautifully landscaped accessible pathway encircling our facility. Saint Luke's Place is a Charitable, Non Profit, Accredited Long Term Care Facility and Seniors' Community that became a reality as the result of a desire to serve seniors in the Cambridge community. Saint Luke's Place has earned an excellent reputation within the Community and continually strives to improve and enhance the programs and services offered to provide the best possible quality of life for those who live and work here.
