The Institute for a Resource-Based Economy (IRBE) is a Canadian non-profit whose mission is to challenge our perceptions of ownership, and our relationship to the Earth's resources. We are a 5-year-old on-profit organization focused on the promotion of, and acceleration towards, a circular economy.We believe that a necessary part of sustainability and waste management is using what we have already created, to it's highest potential. We do this by hosting the largest alternative lending library network in the world. At our 3 city locations (2 storefronts), we have checked, catalogued, and made available thousands of items to borrow.
